Much of the power of Bridge to locate and isolate the files for our various projects comes from its ability to handle and display metadata. Some metadata is created automatically when we create digital files, and Bridge is able to interpret that metadata. Some metadata we create when we add keywords, a description, or information about the creators, models, and permissions for using the files. This first article describes the initial steps you need to take to control how Bridge displays metadata, and offers ways to think about adding metadata to your files efficiently through the use of templates.
